Tuesday Morning Devotion 11.15.22

Today for our Monday devotion from Bethany ARP we heard a word from Paul in 1 Cor. 2:1-5 where he encourages Christians to trust in the power of Scripture. It’s that which will take down our enemies, and it will do so in Christ.

In today’s passage the author of Hebrews tells a striking tale about how even with the great examples of faith we have in the Old Testament, those living now have a pure understanding of God’s gracious love in the promise of Christ.

For today’s devotion from Bethany ARP we looked at 1 Corinthians 3:18-23. Paul here gives a word about worldly wisdom versus that wisdom which come from God. For the believer discerning between the two begins with humility.

Today in our devotion we looked at Hebrews 10:5-10. In this passage the author of Hebrews shares an important lesson about the nature of Christ’s sacrifice for sin at the cross as he quotes Psalm 40.

For today’s Monday devotion from Bethany ARP we heard a word about the superiority of Christ’s death as the Testator to the blood of goats. Plus the dangers of using the old covenant as a template for our worship.

Today in our devotion we heard an encouraging reminder of the benefits of the doctrine of adoption and our place in the family of God.
