Remembering the goodness of God and the assurance found only in His promises are a great help to the facing of our day-to-day problems.
For today’s devotion from Bethany ARP we heard a challenge from Acts 4:13 to “be like Christ” in the spirit of Rom. 12:2, Eph. 5:1-2, and other passages. The more we rest in the finished work of our Lord, the more we shall be at rest.
For Monday’s devotion from Hebrews 6:9-12 we talked about the importance of remaining steadfast in the gospel of Jesus Christ and being thankful for the careful labors of the Lord’s undershepherds.
Today we looked at 1 Corinthians 5:9-13. In a preview of his famous “love” chapter, Paul reminds us this morning why a gospel church will faithfully discipline those in unrepentant sin.
Today we looked at Hebrews 6:1-8. In today’s passage we talked about the need for Believers to move past the elementary principles and embrace the deeper things of the Christian life. Weak sheep make for easy pickings in the day of temptation.
