Today we looked at 1 Corinthians 1:18-25. In this morning’s passage the apostle gives testimony to the foolishness of the world and why the Christian faith need not be afraid of them because they are resting in the certainty of God’s promise.
On today’s devotion we heard a word from Joshua 5:12 about the way we are to live in light of the peace we have in the Promised Land life found in Christ.
Remembering the goodness of God and the assurance found only in His promises are a great help to the facing of our day-to-day problems.
Mr. Spurgeon makes note that for the believer ironically the hardest times to trust and praise God is when things are well. Christians must remember the fullness we receive in our Lord at all times.
The light which God provides in the gospel shows us what is true and what is right. We must keep our eyes open and desire the light, and not the darkness.
