Monday Morning Devotion 4.3.23

Today we looked at 1 Corinthians 7:1-9. Of all of Paul’s writings this set of verses can be the trickiest, however, the main point of the apostle’s concern remains sexual immorality and how spouses are to help one another in the keeping of the seventh commandment.

Today we looked at 1 Corinthians 12:27-31. In this passage the apostle gives a word of reminder that believers who have been given gifts by the Holy Spirit must use them to build up and not boast, for it damages the body of Christ.

God in grace gives us pictures of Christ in Old Testament events. Abel shows us the nature of what Jesus’ blood sprinkled cries out to God saying.

Today for our devotion from Bethany ARP we looked at Hebrews 8:1-6. In this passage the author of Hebrews reiterates what is gained by Christ being High Priest and what is lost if we maintain our faith in the old covenant.

Today for our Monday devotion from Bethany ARP we took a look at Ezra 8:1-14 and heard a word about the courage and reasons why the first families returned back to the land of promise in God’s grace.

In this passage the apostle gives some advice as to how to deal with situations in the Christian life where we are asked to engage ourselves in idolatry and sin, and when those situations actually involve that and when they don’t.
