Tuesday Morning Devotion 5.16.23

Today for our Monday devotion from Bethany ARP we looked at Luke 14:15-24 as we heard about the Parable of the Great Banquet and the blessings of the Free Offer of the Gospel.

Today we looked at 1 Corinthians 10:1-13. In this passage the apostle is doing two things, first he is teaching the Jews and the Gentiles how to use and read the Old Testament, second he is instructing us not to rely on outward blessings to fight inward battles. We must rest in Christ.

For our Monday devotion from Bethany ARP we walked through Ezra with a look at Ezra 3:1-7 and witnessed how God designs the Church and the State to sweetly work together in their own defined roles to build up the people in faith.

Today in our Thursday Devotions we heard a reminder of the importance of worship and our place in the house of God on His day.

On today’s Tuesday devotional we heard a searching word from Charles Spurgeon on the need for humility in the face of God’s grace to us.

Today in our devotion from Bethany ARP we looked at 1 Corinthians 9:1-10. Legalists can put a strain on your relationship with Christ. To add to God’s word is to place yourself above God and tell Him that He forgot how to lead His people.
