Today in our devotion from Bethany ARP we looked at Hebrews 11:1-3. The author of Hebrews expands on what faith is and how it’s foundation in the word of God is the bulwark we need to ward off the temptations toward apostasy.
On today’s devotion we looked at Hebrews 4:9 and what the Sabbath rest looks like for the believer as a foretaste of the eternal Sabbath in Christ.
Mr. Spurgeon makes note that for the believer ironically the hardest times to trust and praise God is when things are well. Christians must remember the fullness we receive in our Lord at all times.
The light which God provides in the gospel shows us what is true and what is right. We must keep our eyes open and desire the light, and not the darkness.
