Tuesday Morning Devotion 9.12.23

For today’s Monday devotion from Bethany Church we began to close out our time in Hebrews with Ch. 13:7-17. Paul there reminds us of our duty to support our elders, and that all ultimate authority comes from Christ alone.

Today we looked at Hebrews 6:1-8. In today’s passage we talked about the need for Believers to move past the elementary principles and embrace the deeper things of the Christian life. Weak sheep make for easy pickings in the day of temptation.

Today we looked at Hebrews 10:26-39. In the passage the author of Hebrews expounds on the possibility of apostasy and the dangers of ignoring the warnings of Hell and the certainties of wrath for trampling the Son underfoot.

On today’s Tuesday devotional we heard a searching word from Charles Spurgeon on the need for humility in the face of God’s grace to us.

Today for our Monday devotion from Bethany ARP we looked at Hebrews 13:1-6. Here the apostle brings three types of relationships together to help us remember why we are to love all people in light of Christ’s love for us.

In today’s passage the author of Hebrews tells a striking tale about how even with the great examples of faith we have in the Old Testament, those living now have a pure understanding of God’s gracious love in the promise of Christ.
