Monday Morning Devotion 10.9.23

Today we looked at Hebrews 12:25-29. In this morning’s passage the author of Hebrews gives us a warning mixed with love concerning the need for God’s people to listen to His word.

For today’s devotion from Bethany Church we heard an encouragement from Charles Spurgeon to get to know Jesus better. It’s worth the spiritual blessing to spend time dedicated to improve our knowledge of Christ.

Today in our devotion we heard a reminder from Romans 11 about how the promise of the conversion of ethnic Israel reminds us of God’s covenant assurance in Christ.

Today we looked at Hebrews 12:1-2. In this morning’s passage the author of Hebrews closes out the “hall of faith” by pointing to the true hero of the story upon which the righteous men of old and new ground their love for God, Jesus Christ the Righteous.

In today’s devotion from Bethany ARP we looked at Exodus 28:38 and heard a word about being honest about weakness, in worship, in life, etc… because in humility we approach the Savior whose grace sufficient even for these things.

For today’s devotion from Bethany ARP we looked at 1 Corinthians 3:18-23. Paul here gives a word about worldly wisdom versus that wisdom which come from God. For the believer discerning between the two begins with humility.
