Monday Morning Devotion 5.6.24

For today’s lesson we heard an explanation as to what evening worship is and why we should gather twice a Sunday for God’s blessings. We started with Acts 20:7-12.

On today’s devotion from Bethany ARP we heard a word of encouragement to take time to consider the blessings of Heaven as the Lord gives us time to remember the goodness of our true home.

Today’s word, or words, come to us from Philippians 1:19-21 where Paul says “To live is Christ, but to die is gain”. The Apostle is describing for us what it means that the more we know of Jesus the less and less we fear this world and its value to our decision making.

Today for our What’s That Word feature from Bethany ARP we went over Jesus’s statement about hating mother and father from Luke 14:25-26.

Today for our Tuesday devotion we looked at Colossians 4:8 and heard a message reminding us of the importance of prayer, and the faithfulness of our Lord in hearing that prayer.

For today’s Monday devotion from Bethany ARP we heard a word about the superiority of Christ’s death as the Testator to the blood of goats. Plus the dangers of using the old covenant as a template for our worship.
