Monday Morning Devotion 1.6.25

This week we take another look at Paul’s admonition to keep the commandments and worry not about outward circumstances.

Today in our devotion from Bethany ARP Church we looked at a word from Charles Spurgeon on the blessings of prayer, and the nature of Christ’s work on our behalf.

Today in our “What’s That Word” Wednesday devotion from Bethany ARP we looked at 1 Timothy 2:1-4 and how it is Christians are to pray for those in authority over us and what responsibility they owe to Christ.

Today we looked at 1 Corinthians 7:1-9. Of all of Paul’s writings this set of verses can be the trickiest, however, the main point of the apostle’s concern remains sexual immorality and how spouses are to help one another in the keeping of the seventh commandment.

Today for our morning devotion we heard a word from 1 Peter 5:7 on the call for those undergoing trials to be patient and know the presence of God.

For our Monday devotion from Bethany ARP we took a look at Ezra 6:13-15 as we see a blessed example of how the Lord blessed the people with godly prophets, godly elders, and a godly civil magistrate working together to build the Lord’s house.
