Monday Morning Devotion 3.9.2026

Good Morning,

Join us at Bethany ARP Church every Monday morning as we expand on yesterday’s morning sermon and prep for next week.

By His Grace,

Today for our devotion we looked at Hebrews 5:10-12 and the need for believers to eat meat, and not be satisfied with just milk.

Today for our devotion from Bethany ARP we looked at Genesis 49 and a keen reminder of the mercy of God in His blessings of covenantal love. This was our last selection from Spurgeon’s “Morning and Evening”. Next week starts a new series.

Today in our devotion we heard a reminder from Romans 11 about how the promise of the conversion of ethnic Israel reminds us of God’s covenant assurance in Christ.

Our word for today was “Synod”. In Acts 15 the Apostles and Elders gathered at Jerusalem to figure out how to handle an issue in the church. Men still do this, and in the ARP our annual gathering is called a “Synod”. We helpfully define that for you and explain a little bit of the context.

Today for our “What’s That Word” Wednesday devotion from Bethany ARP we looked at 2 Kings 6:24-31 and a question which came in about one of the more horrific scenes in the Old Testament involving baby cannibalism.
