Monday Morning Devotion 4.20.26

Today in our Thursday Devotions we heard a reminder of the importance of worship and our place in the house of God on His day.

Our word for today was “Synod”. In Acts 15 the Apostles and Elders gathered at Jerusalem to figure out how to handle an issue in the church. Men still do this, and in the ARP our annual gathering is called a “Synod”. We helpfully define that for you and explain a little bit of the context.

Today for our Tuesday devotion we heard a challenge from Charles Spurgeon about the importance of using the past examples of God’s grace to us to help us in the dark moments of life.

Today for our Wednesday devotion (we explain the switch in days at the start of the video) from Bethany ARP we heard an encouragement to rest in the imputed righteousness of Christ, especially when Satan points out our sin.

Today in our devotion from Bethany ARP we looked at Hebrews 10:11-18. We saw how the one sacrifice of Christ is the culmination of the old covenant promises and nullifies the need for any continuation of the ceremonial law.

Today in our devotion from Bethany ARP we looked at Hebrews 7:20-28. There we heard a bit more on the superiority of the high priesthood of Christ vs. the old covenant order of Aaron.
