It is hard to expect lay members to take seriously their I do’s when the clergy seem to find it hard to do the same. But other people’s failures are no excuse for us not to do what we are called to do, in fact it is ever more the reason to do it.
Taking care of loved ones is not optional. It is part and parcel of being a Christian and it is to be seen as a natural duty for those saved by grace.
