The sermon examines Jonah’s flight from God’s command to preach to Nineveh, highlighting his reluctance to see Gentiles receive mercy. It contrasts Jonah’s desire for the destruction of his enemies with God’s universal offer of salvation and grace. The preacher uses the conversion of the sailors as evidence that God saves sinners regardless of their background or prior knowledge. This narrative serves as a convicting call for the church to embrace the Great Commission without discrimination. The central message urges believers to desire the salvation of their neighbors rather than their judgment.
